Hurricane Irene (2011)
Excellent video with a lot of storm surge footage. Check out the "negative surge" at 1:05 into the video. Offshore winds blew water out of channels for part of the storm, leaving a boat to rest on mud. Sometimes a negative surge is followed by a rapid positive surge, which can be life-threatening.
