The latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center shows an 80% chance that Invest 99L will form into Tropical Storm/ Hurricane Hermine within the next five days. The forecast track takes this system towards South Florida.
Massive convection fired up over night around Invest 99L. However, strong wind shear has displaced this convection from the low-level center of circulation, impeding development.
